You can conclude your SABF adventures at the Literary Death Match on Saturday, April 2 at the Charline McCombs Empire Theater. The LDM reception, with live music, drinks, and delicious hors d’oeuvre, starts at 5:30 pm (tickets are $50) with the LDM program kicking off at 7pm (tickets for LDM only are $10). Literary Death Match is a hilarious, energy packed presentation with live performances by 4 famous and emerging authors, competing in front of a panel of 3 judges--and with lots of audience participation--for a chance to win the coveted title of San Antonio LDM 2016 Champion. This final event of the Festival promises to be an irreverent night filled with laughter, lit and libations that you will not want to miss.
The San Antonio Book Festival is the signature program of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation, started in 2012 with the Texas Book Festival, the Central Library and the Southwest School of Art as founding partners. SABF unites readers and writers in a celebration of ideas, books, libraries, and literary culture. The mission of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation is to strengthen the library in service to our community. For more information, visit http://www.saplf.org/
