John Carty is one of the most highly regarded Irish fiddle players. He also happens to be a top tenor, banjo and a flute player. In 2003 he was named Ireland's Musician of the Year, an honor that was won in other years by such notables as Matt Molloy and Paddy Keenan.

He has performed at all major festivals throughout Europe, North America and Australia. John's discography includes ten full length CDs.
