Chupachanga- Dia de los Muertos Celebration, Local Artist Festival & Block Party.........San Anto Cultural Arts to hold a free block party for the community and continue an annual tradition- a procession to the “living” Peace & Remembrance Mural on Trinity Street.
San Anto Cultural Art’s third Chupachanga will feature Dia de los Muertos themed activities such as face painting, and sugar skull making. Local artists have also been invited to showcase their artwork throughout the event. Local musicians are scheduled throughout the day as well. A ribbon cutting ceremony is also scheduled on-site for the highly anticipated opening of the building expansion at 2120 El Paso Street. The new building will be open and will showcase works made by students as well as an art auction. South Chupaderas Street will be closed from El Paso Street to Guadalupe Street to accommodate Chupachanga, a quarterly block party hosted by San Anto Cultural Arts. As always, the Ribbon Cutting/ Chupachanga will be open to the community, family friendly and free of charge.
