Our presenters for Volume 16 are: (in no particular order)
1. Marilyn Lanfear, Artist
www.marilynlanfear.com
Marilyn Lanfear is a native Texan who grew up in Corpus Christi and has lived in San Antonio since the 60s. Marilyn moved to Manhattan (thinking that she needed to live in "mecca.") and realized that the stories that she had heard in Texas, and had used to entertain her friends, were interesting, even exotic. She is continuing her family’s storytelling tradition in her work, using a variety of media – lead, wood, stone, artist?made paper, words, even paint. Marilyn is a visual storyteller, and all of her work is informed by the fact that she is a woman from a particular place.

2. Brent Barry, NBA Analyst
Brent Barry was raised in the Bay Area. Selected 15th in the 1995 NBA draft, "Bones" spent 14 years in the league, was part of two glorious championships in San Antonio, and has lived in SA for 10 interesting years of his development.

3. Rick Casey, Journalist
www.klrn.org/texasweek
Rick Casey started his career as a cub reporter for the San Antonio Light in 1967. He has since worked at the Express?News and as editor of San Antonio city magazines. He also was a reporter and editor at the Seattle Times in the early 1980s and a columnist at the Houston Chronicle from 2003?2011. For the past three years he has served as the host and managing editor of the immodestly?named "Texas Week with Rick Casey," which airs Fridays a 8 p.m. on KLRN.
