National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation's largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. In 2013, 175,000 people across the United States worked to improve parks, forests, refuges, and critical wildlife habitat with conservation of our natural resources in mind. Join the movement this year through serving and celebrating at Mitchell Lake! The morning will focus on trail and native plant garden maintenance, as these paths and displays are essential for educating students and everyday visitors about South Central Texas wildlife and conservation.
